Water & drops
We live in the very moist subtropical region of Northern New South Wales with an average annual rainfall of 1600mm (64 inches). Even in dryer months, our valley is often refreshed by heavy fogs and morning mists, with every leaf and spiders web dripping with jewel-like drops of water. Creeks and waterfalls run for much of the year. As well as photographing drops out in nature, we also set up our own macro "studio" where we used intense amounts of light to achieve the very high shutter speeds we needed to freeze drops as they fell.
